About the name

I tried hard to find an explanation of the name Metabolid. Here is, what I found on Wikipedia.

μετά Meta in the middle, between

βολις  bolid/ bolis - bullet

Beside this useless explanation of the name, Metabolid is a reference to the company MetaTools, a former pioneer in 3D software.
Great applications like Bryce, Poser, Painter and several Photoshop plug-in‘s were introduced by MetaTools.

About the technology

I am using an iMac with
Mac OS 10.7.

Usually, I set the scene and render in PoserPro. For background creation, I am using Bryce and ArtMatic Voyager.  For finishing, Photoshop, of course.
